Granules for Bins & Buckets — Cost Advantage with the Economy Series
The best price-performance balance in waste bin and bucket production comes from economy-grade recycled black PP granule. These products demand durability but not visual perfection — exactly where economy granule excels.
Which properties matter for bins and buckets?
- Impact strength: Bins are dropped, dragged and emptied — the high molecular weight of low-MFI granule (5–12) provides crack resistance.
- Density (0.93–0.97 g/cm³): Light filler content adds stiffness and lowers unit cost.
- Ash content (≤ 1.5%): Sufficient purity for this product group — higher purity is unnecessary cost.
- Filtration: 120-mesh filtration is still essential — sand and metal particles in low-quality granule wear out molds and screws.
How much can the economy series save?
Bins and buckets are typically heavy products — a single bin consumes 5–15 kg of raw material. Economy-grade granule offers a meaningful per-kg price advantage over the injection series; in high-volume production this can translate into 10–20% savings in per-unit material cost.
Recommended product
For bins, buckets and similar large-volume products we recommend our Economy Series: MFI 5–12, density 0.93–0.97 g/cm³, ash ≤ 1.5%, carbon black 1–1.5%, 120-mesh filtration, 1-ton big bag packaging.
